Former goalkeeper Peter Bonetti dies at age 78

Former Chelsea and England goalkeeper Peter Bonetti had passed away at the age of 78 on 12th April, 2020 due to long-term illness. Nicknamed “The Cat”, he had helped Chelsea win the 1965 League Cup, the 1970 FA Cup and the 1971 European Cup Winners’ Cup.

Legendary F1 driver Sir Stirling Moss passes away

The British Formula One racing driver Stirling Moss had passed away at the age of 90 on 12th April 2020. Though he had never won the Formula One world title, he was widely acknowledged for winning runner-ups on four occasions between 1955 and 1961. He retired from the top level competition after a crash in 1962 but had continued to remain active within the sport for the rest of his life.

WADA celebrates ‘Play True Day 2020’

World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is celebrating the ‘Play True Day 2020’ on April 9, which has been celebrated since 2014.

Canada-based World Anti-Doping Agency is a foundation launched by the International Olympic Committee, to promote awareness against drugs in sports. WADA is celebrating the day this year with the theme ‘Play Safe on Play True Day 2020’.
