Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installation and Facilities

Agreement on Prohibition of Attacks against Nuclear Installations and Facilities was signed between India and Pakistan on December 31, 1988. Article II of this agreement calls for exchange of list of nuclear installations and strategic facilities on 1st January each year by the two parties. This agreement restricts the two countries from attacking each other’s atomic facilities in case of war. This year, both countries made the 30th consecutive exchange of the list since 1992.
