Brereton War Crimes Report

The Brereton War Crimes Report was released after a 4 year inquiry into allegations of Australian soldiers killing unarmed Afghan civilians. The report says that soldiers of the Special Air Services- an elite regiment under the Australian Defence Force had killed at least 39 Afghans civilians, including children. Apart from this, the report also highlighted the practice of ‘warrior culture’ such as ‘blooding’ among some of the troops.
