‘Counting the Cost 2020: A Year of Climate Breakdown’ report was published by the UK-based non-profit organisation Christian Aid. This report analysed the 15 most destructive climate disasters of this year. It had found that 9 of the 15 extreme events, including two in India, caused damages worth at least $5 billion. Hurricanes that occurred in the US and Central American countries were the most expensive. India’s June-October floods led to the highest number of human deaths.
