PEG compound

Polyethylene glycol, which is also known as PEG, is blamed for the allergic reactions caused by the COVID-19 vaccines. PEG compound is found in other drugs as well and are known for triggering anaphylaxis on rare occasions. The US’ Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is planning to monitor Pfizer-BionNTech and Moderna vaccines, which have PEG as part of the fatty envelope that surrounds messenger RNA, the main ingredient of these vaccines.
