Sea Wing Underwater Glider Drone

A fleet of Sea Wing (Haiyi) Underwater Glider Drones were deployed by China in the Indian Ocean. It can operate for months together and gather naval intelligence. This drone is a type of Unscrewed Underwater Vehicle (UUV) launched in December 2019 and recovered in February 2020 after making 3,400 observations. It is capable of carrying Conductivity, Temperature, Depth (CTD) sensors, turbulence meter, Turbidimeter, chlorophyll sensor, dissolved oxygen sensor, nitrate and other biochemical sensors.
