India received $51 billion in FDI in 2019: UNCTAD

According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) report, India received $51 billion in foreign investment in 2019. This makes India the ninth largest recipient of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Most of these investments were in the information and communication technology and construction industry. The report also stated that India’s large market would continue to attract market-seeking investments to the country.
